It’s almost Valentine’s Day, & if your kid hasn’t made their box or bag for the class party yet, I’ve got a fun idea for you! My seven year old, Elias, loves to be creative, is a bit of a perfectionist, & LOVES to organize things, so we came up with a way for him to organize his Valentine’s goodies this year.
You will need:
- 3 brown or white paper bags
- Glue sticks & white glue
- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Crayola glitter glue
- Crayola markers, crayons, or color pencils
- Crayola metallic markers
- Crayola washable paint brush pens
- Any other fun art supplies you have around the house

The first thing we did, was use our Crayola metallic markers to label the sides of the bags for what will go in each compartment: Cards, Candy, & Toys & Stickers. Next, we decided which one would be in the middle, so he could decorate the “front” & “back” of the bags that would be on the outside. He wanted to glue construction paper hearts on his organizer, so I helped him draw & cut out some red hearts as well.
He used the Crayola paint brush pens to write his name (I think they’re his new favorite art supply), & drew “himself as Cat Boy” from PJ Masks on both bags. Then we used the glue stick to glue the red hearts all over the bags.
Next, Elias used the Crayola glitter glue pens to color Cat Boy blue, & make his ears pink.
We let the glitter glue dry overnight, & the next day glued the blank sides of the three bags together. He’s so excited to bring his organizer to his class party this week!

As someone with OCD I can totally relate to his need to have things organized. His organizer turned out super cute. Love it!
