Being “in Christ” means that Christ lives in us, as we live for Him. In Mark 9:7, God says about Jesus, “…This is my dearly loved son, listen to him.” (NLT) God’s Son lives in & through you, therefore God MUST love you dearly as He loves Jesus!

All who are in Christ are beloved by God. Understanding the love God has for us opens our eyes to see & love ourselves as He sees & loves us. The Greek word for “beloved” is “agapetos,” which means divinely loved, very dear, esteemed favorite, experiencing God’s agape love. YOU are God’s very dear & divinely loved esteemed favorite, created to know & experience His agape love!

We are God’s people, set apart for Him & His purpose ( Romans 1:7). The key to fulfilling His purpose is love- knowing & experiencing the love He freely gives, & freely sharing His love with others. If Christ is in us, love is in us- growing & maturing daily. To know Him, is to know love, because He is love. As we experience His love, we not only learn to love ourselves as He does, we begin to walk in His love, giving that same agape love to those in the world around us (1 John 4:7). If we fail to walk in love, then we have failed to fully experience His love for us.

Remind yourself daily, you are more than loved. You are God’s dearly loved & esteemed favorite child!
